Steph gave me a Game Cam for Christmas. It's made by a company called Stealth Cam. I don't know where she got it or what it cost, but I can say it's pretty cool.

I put it up yesterday next to one of my deer feeders. It has fresh hog tracks there and the corn is gone every morning.

Here are a few pics from last night.

Eddie, those are neat. Guy next to me has one of those (he runs "End of the Trail" hunting), and he had a picture of a capybarra. They are supposed to be from South America, has a hog body, back feet and head looks like a beaver, but no tail. Don't know how they got behind our place, but I guess you never know what you might see.

Eddie, I got a stelth cam back in October and I've had a blast with it . I've managed to get severl deer pic's and some small stuff but I've been trying to get a bobcat . We don't have many wild pigs up here . The deer in the photos a extermly close to the camara . I'm thinking about getting another one to get more pictures . you will really enjoy the stelh cam .

Matt,

That buck is amazing!!!

I couldn't figure out what was in the second picture?

If you get anymore good pics, I'd love to see them. Your doe looks very healthy. She's got to be about fifty pounds heavier that what we have down here.

Thanks sharing,
Eddie

Eddie , yes the deer can get large up here . The fist picture is a young buck that will be big in a few years. Can you find the deer in the second picture? another fun thing about the cams is getting pic's of stuff you don't know what it is . In picture 3 see the small white spot in the center with a black dot I don't know what it is , the 4 pic is the same thing only attached to the tree . the 5th picture I got on Christmas eve at about midnight and I can't figure out what it is or what caused it.I reset the cam in a new locatin last night by a cave , I want to see what is living in there

Very cool Eddie! I'll have to look into that. I've seen a skunk lurking in the dark but would like some photos. Also might be useful to catch those mailbox smashing animals!

Pic 3 and 4 looks like a doe's head to me. The black dot is the eye, the light patch is the cheek, and down to the right appears to be the nose. It appears to be laying down in pic 3. In pic 4 it appears to be standing by the tree looking toward the camera.

I saw a Wildview brand at gander mtn last year jus b4 xmas and mentioned to FIL as gift, $60 after rebate. Well been using it since and have gotten alot of great pictures of deers' hind quarters. It is worth its price compared to the $300 types but best suited right neer a bait pile. for the trails where a quick lock time is required I need to spend some money.

I have found having two 64Mb SD cards works nice, just swap in the clean one and take the current one home.

So far I have seen a big debate on whether or not a flash keeps the same deer away from the area. anybody experience on this one way or the other?

Infrareds are real $$
