I this same Chamberlian Wi-Fi enabled. I like that it is belt driven much quieter. I like all the same features as you do and I have alerts set if the door is not closed in a set amount of time it alerts me and I can close it.
I also use it to tell when my teenage son comes home.

I got my first smart phone right before Christmas. I hate it. Put apps on it and it starts showing popup advertisements. I have had it back to the Verizon store 3 times because it wont work half the time. I need to take it back again, they said If I had anymore problems they would just warranty it out and give me a new one. It doesnt connect nowhere near as well as my old casio flip phone. I only got the smart phone because Verizon is phasing out their 3g services. Only plus I can give the new phone is that when they downloaded my contacts and pictures from my old phone, they found almost 500 pictures I thought I had lost. I guess I couldnt use my old phone correctly either. Only extra app I have on my phone is the one from Ford for my wifes new car. I can crank the car and unlock the doors anywhere I have a wifi or internet signal.I can also track my cars movments. That sort of made the wife mad when she was driving and something weird would come up on the screen. I wasnt really trying to keep tabs on her, just playing with the app. I deleted most of the apps that came already installed on the phone. I also keep the internet service turned off, unless I need it, which I am finding isnt often.

Smart phones have the ability to make you look (and feel) dumber faster......

Fellow volunteer at local museum insisted we use "level" app on his "smart" phone to build shutters for blacksmith shop on museum grounds.... Surprise only ones that fit were ones done by with old stand by tape measure....

An interesting idea. I can see it being handy for some situations. I would be a bit concerned about "hacking" though and the inability to know whether the door is open or not. My neighbor has his home heating & A/C systems controlled by a wifi / internet app on his smartphone. He likes to turn up the heat when leaving work so he comes home to a warm house. The system worked great for a year or so until someone hacked into the system and shut down the furnace. Instead of a warm house, he came home to frozen pipes!

I have 5 garage door openers, 3 vehicles and 2 tractors. The vehicles all have built in garage door opener transmitters so that is never a problem. I use two of these relatively cheap programmable dual band transmitters for the tractors:

For just over $50, I can open either barn door from either tractor.

Hmmmm......... my new Power Wagon comes with a built in auto garage door opener. Well - I don't have a garage door, much less an opener. I wonder what it WILL open. I'll have to try it next time I'm in the big city. Suprise, suprise............. I notice it has a "search & pair" feature thru UConnect.
