This is right now about the best buy for a new Add-Flow welding hood, they're usually around 2k, there is plenty of good used ones on ebay for a lot less. Another high point I like is adjustable welding shades. If I was well off and or if I had a big paying home welding job to do I'd get one, they're about the best welding hood around.

and here I am thinking I'm high rolling with my Vulcan welding helmet... 
That said, I really do like the Vulcan helmet... it is ridiculously clear compared to the normal cheapie auto darkening helmets. I was suckered in with an open box version for $105 so only 100% more $ than what I went in to get instead of 200%...

My Jackson boss helmet has adjustable darkening lens for welding, plus grinding option and gas cutting setting.

I think I'm high rolling and my HF helmet is one grade and a bunch of money below yours. I'd probably swell up and bust if I had a Vulcan.
