While I haven't done it for a lift I have installed foundations for numerous machines on a much larger scale. Contact the company of the lift your buying and ask for what you need to install it. If a 4" floor isn't adequate then you can cut the floor for the post bases and dig it down to give you a solid foundation. The lift company should be able to advise you on the size hole you will need.

Ok I sprang for a 4 post lift from "Quality lifts of Kentucky. It arrived 3 days earlier than I expected it. With the help of my tractor and my wife I assembled it in a couple days.(took my time as I was just out of a surgery). Already have done a few jobs on my cars.and have one on the lift waiting for parts.Already wondering why I waited so long to get one. Slowly working on its final resting spot in the garage. But it is very nice not crawling around on a cold garage floor.

What was the final cost? If I am not out of line here. We just bought a new fifth wheel that is too long for the garage so now there is room for a lift

Hi.I spent 4200 bucks.that included one bridge jack and a set of wheels for it.

Not sure about Marks 4 post capacity. Mine is a 2 post lift made in USA by Challenger lifts out of Kentucky and has a 9000 capacity. Mine cost about 3K U.S.

I'm still kicking my self in the behind for not building my garage taller. I had never really looked at lifts or knew what they cost. I figured the were big money, but they are affordable. My ceiling height is about 8.5 feet, so I'm limited to a scissors type hoist.

I am thanking my lucky stars that my garage was built for a fiver trailer. I needed a 14' high door to clear the AC and 2' above that for the door hardware.
My pickup weighs in at close to 7k and the new ones curb weight is 7k so I probably will go for a 10k lift. I really can't justify it but I love the idea of not climbing under the truck for an oil change, lol.

Hey I'm back. The lift will raise 9000# What I liked about the Quality lift was the cables are 1/2" diameter and they are inside the uprights not on the outside,It was easy to assemble by my wife and I.Just everything is HEAVY used my loader to pick and move the parts.I finished the car I had on it yesterday and rearanged the garage. I was able to move the lift into what I think will be the "final" position by myself with just a small 2X4 to push it. Now I have an overhead light I need to move but that's an easy job.Got the wife trained to bring coffee and snacks to the garage for me. I told her with spring and summer just around the corner she could stock my garage refrigerator with beer for me,

I just got my two post Snap-On 11K lift up and working. Took some time to get all the fitting not to leak.
