Gas prices again, What's the price in your area for unleaded? What's happening?

Hey! I live near there! You were at the Citgo... Down RTE 1 at the independant guy it is $0.01 cheaper...

My wife was down near you on the north side of Richmond (Mechanicsville, near the TSC) caring for her Mom who is having some issues... I suggested she check the truck stops at exit 104 and BINGO she got Unleaded on the way home earlier this evening for $2.99! WOO HOO!

You're exactly right. I was at the Citgo on the corner of Rt 1 and Ladysmith Rd, near the Food Lion. Cheapest gas I've bought in a long time. I'd love to get some of that $2.99 gas though.

$2.98 just below Petersburg, VA. $3.79 for diesel. Don't think we will ever see $1.99 again. Still hope so.

It's been coming for a while... Due to the addition of hydro cracking units at refineries, gasoline prices are going down below diesel. They can make more gasoline out of a barrel of crude now. Before they always had to make X percent of diesel. With hydro cracker units, you drive that percentage lower and lower. It's while base oil (motor oil / hydraulic oil / etc.), Tar/Asphalts, and diesel are now more and more expensive.

They are also starting to blend more and more ethanol into fuels. Which makes the base gasoline cheaper - you're getting an 83 / 84 octane blended up with ethanol to make it an 87/89 octane. Cheap, crappy fuel.

I am guessing back when gas was 37.9 cents per gallon, it probably made sense. Now with gas often peaking over $4, it really doesn't- though the gas stations just can't let go of it, gotta squeeze out every last penny they can... well, make that 9/10 of a penny.

I filled up the suburban yesterday about 35 miles from home near a truckstop, was 3.19. Diesel was 4.19! I have never seen that much difference, usually like 30 to 40 cents.

Just north of downtown St Louis, off I-70: Reg. gas $2.86/gal, diesel $3.49/gal

Elsewhere in the metro area I've seen gas as high as $3.09 in MO. It tends to be 5% higher in IL.

$5.24 per gallon for 87 gas, $5.36 for diesel. But they will go back up again.

I filled both our both of our vehicles today at the Denton Sam's Club for $2.889 a gallon. I did notice lots of places are now $2.929.

Murphys' Wal-Mart can take 15 cents off gal. by using there card shows the amount of profit per gal. is being charged.
Also notice the wells are shut in and piplines are full of natural gas so fuel is not being used for heating.
