Gasoline/diesel prices !!! Whats the limit ??

Today is Wednesday, the pice is $1.639, tomorrow after 9AM the price will be about $1.80. Always changes on Thursday 15-20 cents

Do many vehicles run on LPG, here i would guess that about 25% do.

It has been said that the United States is the Saudi Arabia of coal. What does it cost to convert coal to fuel for cars/trucks/tractors? My guess is what we pay at the pump for fuel will cost a little less than that.

I firmly believe corporate <font color="green"> greed </font> is the biggest cause of high prices. Did you ever check out the salaries and perks of some of the top brass at some of these companies. But I know for a fact that the Ashland Oil refinery in Ashland KY has been down for some time due to several major problems. My son-in-law's father is a pipe fitter there and he has been working 10-12 hour days solid with a day off every 2-3 weeks (avg.) since last Dec. I have heard that there are some other refineries down in this country also. I can't say that it's not a price gouging tactic by the oil industry, but at the Ashland plant they are spending an awful lot of money to get back in production. Guess what that will do to the prices. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

By the way, in my area of western Ohio, regular is $1.67-1.75, and diesel is about the same. And the price goes up here every Thursday without fail also. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Gas refineries are not the only thing down, there are refineries that make a product derived from gasoline that is a feedstock for the plastic/rubber pellets industry called isoprene,it is in limited supply now.The gas prices go up and the feedstock prices for the chemical divisions climb as well.
