Here in the UK I've recently bought a lovely green Gator CX - and I absolutely love it - I've bought a tow behind scarifier and a slitter for my grass - which it does a great job with.

The only thing I'd like to be able to improve is the amount of grass clippings I can get into the back of the Gator - when I mow and collect I'd like to be able to dump clippings into the Gator and then drive them off to dump in the corner of my field - but I can only get about half a cubic yard of clippings in - does anyone know whether you can get a plastic inset for the load bay which increases the amount of light but voluminous material you can transport - I can imagine an insert about three feet high all round which would be ideal - but I've never seen one for sale here in the UK

Best wishes Mike

I built a plywood box to slide in mine, that extends the bed (length determined by the dump angle) and raises the side boards. I built the box for loading, hauling, and dumping gravel (not a light load) and the extended box (4x2 gator) balanced the load better over the pivot point so the hyd lift would dump the load. Worked very well. A number of landscapers use gators this way to transport washed gravel to beds around the yards because the gator is easy on the new ground and new grass.

A box should work well in your gator I'd think. Also slides out better when the load doesn't have to slide past the rear tailgate.
