Yep, I was a little surprised by that, but it had probably only been driven from the factory floor to its parking place out back. I would not put a new or unfamiliar trailer on my truck w/o checking some safety items first anyway, would you?
Mine is an enclosed car-hauler type trailer. I got quite a list of factory options and all of this was done very well:
* electric tongue jack, loading winch w/extra battery box
* LED lights, outside loading lights, 12V vent fan
* heavy D-rings in floor, 80ft of recessed e-track
* heavy duty ramp door and 7'6" inside height, 3/4" plywood walls
I really got a bargain. After tightening the lug nuts
the only thing I want to do to it is replace some of the factory wiring and connectors with stuff that will last longer.
