I would seriously look up your states lemon laws. She may be able to return it for a full refund or exchange.

There are too many satisfied 3030 owners on here to blame the tractor or your recommendation. All I can do is concur with the excellent information provided so far. Get a decent mechanic and her problems will be over; another perfect example of the importance of a good dealer.

Give her some advice, find a new dealer. If a dealer put a larger fuse to solve a problem then I would be calling Kubota and giving them an ear full. That's just incompetent.

+1

Kubota is normally a high quality tractor, no reason to feel you goofed in recommending it. Of course a problem slips through every once in a while and that is when the dealer has to either step up or get out of the way!

A bigger fuse? Unless the wrong fuse was in there in the first place, the tech ought to be fired:mad:

Demand that Kubota quickly solve this and do it right. Let them know that it's being discussed here on the board.

My M5040 was blowing the master fuse several times. Turned out to be that the clutch arm had rubbed the insulation off the wire. Dealer tied the harness out of the way like it should have been. (Didn't need a bigger fuse:D)

Yes, but does Teg get to use it?
He's offered several times to bring it over  I'm trying to finish up a cabin, once that's done, I'll have time to play with it ;)

True. I've spent many hours in my B3030 HSDCC blowing snow, brush hogging and finish mowing without a hint of trouble, either mechanical or exhaust fume -wise.
Sounds like the dealer is doing a band aid fix for a slightly larger issue. I had a fuse issue once also, but I caused it myself by pinching one of the front cab light wires when I had the head liner out for stereo installation.

I'm with the majority here. The problem is the dealer not finding the real problem the first time. I'm in my third winter with my B3030 cab / front blower, and frankly, I couldn't be any happier with it. Mine has been dead reliable , always starts , no fumes (unless I've had a couple brewskis), and eats snow like an Etheopian !! I can be on snow duty in shorts and a tee shirt cranking Van Halen to my heart's content. She has the right tractor ....... it's the dealer that needs to get their act together. :(

I just recently met a guy who has about 3 hours worth of snowblowing to do per storm. He uses his B3030 with cab, front-mount blower, and absolutely loves the rig no problems at all. I would have given the same advice. It is her dealer that stinks more then anything in this case.

My neighbor really liked my bx ,cab and blower, and decided shed like a dedicated snow tractor[already has several large tractors].She wanted a front blower though,so i told her to buy B3030 cabbed with front kubota blower.
Well she did and has had issues with it from the get go.First storm 5 minutes in blows a hose .Finishes with the old plow truck til dealer can come:(Second storm fuse blows loses gauges and lights-then wont start:( ,finishes with truck again.Dealer comes changes fuse to bigger:confused:Big storm fuse blows again:confused2:finishes with truck, and i help with my blower and blade. They come get it [i think] and fix it. SATURDAY shes blowing snow ,fuse blows again!!Dealer comes slips in the ditch and has to be hauled out by a NEW HOLLAND :mad::mad:Says he cant haul it on his trailer cause its too much tractor[2-3500lb axles:confused:]COMES BACK TODAY AND PICKS IT UP-SAME TRAILER,SAME TRUCK.
She also dont like the fumes coming in the cab through the controls, making her sick:(Idid a search on here and told her to set er heater for fresh air[suppose to help so i read]
Ifeel terrible she spent all that money and is having such a bad time.

It all comes down to this; She has a sucky, lazy stealership. Come on-how many fuses were blown and replaced? it's common sense that there is a reason for them blowing-something is wrong.

SEE THE RIG BACK IN THE DRIVE TONIGHT.Wife just contacted her, they "couldnt make the tractor blow a fuse at the dealership":(They claim they had another 3030 with an electrical problem, and it turned out to be the safety switch on the HST.So not really knowing all they did was give her a new hst safety switch:confused2::confused2:Did i mention it was lights and instrument panel and starting that was not working?I got a feeling her problems arent over yet:eek:Sounds like instead of looking for a short, they are just throwing parts and guessing.Id be demanding a different tractor if it was mine if it happened again
By the way i got a good idea this dealer is following this post.WHAT GIVES IS IT HARD TO FIND COMPETENT HELP?Ive had good luck with you folks in the past, whats changed?
