Good to hear MF rep has expressed an interest in this. Will be curious to see what comes of it.

Let us know how you feel after getting it back, it's not been that long since your accident all things considered, Good Luck :licking: :D

I have not picked up the tractor yet. I went to get it but was not satisfied with the repair.
1 The hood was all chipped up and did not fit the contour of the gauge cluster.
2 The mower deck was still leaning to the right hard, 1" ground clearance from wheel in raised position to 3 or 4" on the left. Not how it was before the wreck.
3 The loader would hit the ground on the right side and the left side was still 1" off the ground.

All the parts that are new are:
1 Hood
2 Loader kit, which, apparently for $3200 does not include hydro cylinders, they used the old ones. Still not sure if that is true.
3 Right head lamp assy.
4 Left MMM mounting bracket.
5 Frame for whole tractor.
6 Left tail lamp assy.

They still need to... replace the MMM discharge chute, and the BH boom is on 8 month backorder. The hood will need repainted, and the 3pt will have to be put back on the tractor. As for the lean with the loader, they are trying to figure that out. I cannot understand why they said it was ready with all these issues. I called the Massey rep after the dealer would not return my call. 20 mins. later they called and are going to make everything right. We will wait and see. They have had the machine for 6 wks. and I believe I have been patient, but now am dumbfounded why they thought this was presentable. I foretold them I wanted it to look like it did before the wreck. I will hope to see the tractor soon but who knows.

Sorry about your disappointment.

Collision work is not like mechanical work, where if it's finished, it's done.

They clearly don't have someone doing a quality control inspection before delivery, to make sure it's all done properly.

If the rep. checked it out, as he suggested he would, he is clearly not qualified to do so.

Once you disappoint a customer like this, it's twice as hard to satisfy them.

The rep is going there Friday, I guess, and is going to look at it then. He told me it will be right when I come to get it next time. We will see. I told him that I don't want anything extra, I just want what I am paying for. Although now, I am concerned about bolts left loose, or not installed at all for that matter.

You need to arrange to be there when the rep looks at the tractor...if you don't have a direct hand in what is needed, it will never be repaired to your satisfaction. When I do a restoration, the customer is supplied with weekly labor and expense reports along with digital photographs documenting the week's progress. I do not feel burdened by doing so when someone is paying for quality work (I do not come cheaply, but I do come highly recommended). Go over YOUR tractor and provide a detailed "punch list" along with an expected completion date. Have the AGCO representative sign off on it. If he refuses to do so, get assertive. If you do not assert yourself, you are NOT going to be satisfied. Not just an opinion, but fact based experience. Your dealer should be ashamed to expect anyone to accept substandard work.

I am planning on just that! Thanks for the input. Another question is cast iron or cast aluminum able to bend? Or is it to soft and just breaks?

Cast iron fractures...cast aluminum is somewhat malleable and will bend some, but will ultimately break as well. Good luck...stick a boot in 'em!

The cylinders should come with it for that price. As a matter of fact, I believe the loader may also come with the joystick-soemone at the rapir shop is looking for a new home made log splitter at your expense. I would talk with MF about that and make sure. I know you want your tractor back but don't let them take advantage. Seems like the insurance company and repair shops know time is on their side, the more they make you wait the more they think you'll cut corners.

That is a serious issue with parking brake. I can see air gap in first pic. IMHO, the teeth should NOT be rounded, should be agressive teeth pointing down . Take a look at the kubota BX parking brake. Its either engaged or not.

Yep I agree. I wonder if I could weld an L shapped bracked to the tooth bar so that it would hold the brake lever and keep it from slipping away from the teeth?
