I am shocked that a rolling accident did so much damage.

I drive my B21 into and through stuff all the time. I thought that was what tractors were built for.

Have you actually seen the safety thread on this forum? Tractors are not tanks and they do not fair well in front end collisions regardless of their size. If Wacky had been unfortunate enough to still be on the tractor when this happed he most likely wouldn't be on this forum anyore.

Thanks for all the helpful insight. I just did a little researching on my own today and found that the "loader kit", according to 2 different dealerships, is part number 4238026 lists for $2800. Which includes, mounting brackets, grille guard, 2 bucket cylinders, and 2 lift cylinders. I called my dealer and asked for the part number they used. They did not give me one, they said to go look on agcopartsbook.com and look up the "loader built" DL100. I just tried that but they did not give me a login code I need to use that service. They told me that the loader they quoted was different than what they used. WHAT???
I kept my cool and asked if the price is much lower than, they said no it is about the same, $3200. I then asked if you could buy a loader COMPLETE for $2800, why in the world would you put just a frame and spend time switching everything over for $3200??? They said that is what they thought would be best, without informing me, no less. At this point I told him I would go online tonight and see for myself and call back tomarrow, no luck, of course. I called the AGCO rep. again to see if he could make sense of this. He said he never saw a new "loader kit" ,which he was also told was on the tractor, that didn't come with cylinders or hoses. He is going to meet with the dealer and I Monday. Right now I am in the process of making a check list of everything that NEEDS to be done. I will have him and the owner sign off on. I doubt I will ever return to this dealer after I receive my tractor. I am close to consulting a lawyer....I will wait until Monday to see the results of this visit. I am sooo not looking forward to this. All I want is the tractor restored to pre-wreck condition. Why is this so hard to understand:confused:. After the deal Wednesday I would expect a little honesty from them. I am going to find out also what their warranty on there work is. Probably, end of the driveway type service warranty...

Stay assertive-I know you want your tractor back but keep on them like white on rice.

Did the loader mounts get changed? If it was a loader "kit" it would have come with new ones, if they weren't changed, that's probably where the uneven bucket is coming from. Look on the old frame where they mount & see if it's tweaked there.

I don't know that I could say it didn't fair too well. It is a tractor and meant to be tough, but it's not going to ever go that fast full steam into a tree under normal, even extreme use. A canoe can't be faulted for sinking if it gets flipped either.

Anyway, best of luck with the repair outcome. Hope it all works out.

Wacky:

Think about using your insurance agent as another resource on your side.

I know in the auto repair world insurance companies have a list of shops on their "good" side, and a list of "bad" ones.

A call from the insurance company to the dealer might carry some weight.

Been doing that so far....biting my tongue the whole time.. The meeting Monday is going to be tough, but I can do it and will not let them get the better of me.

Yes, they were changed with the "loader kit" as well as the frame. Went out and checked the old frame, which has the old loader mounts mounted to the frame still. Cannot see any deformation, except on the left where one of the bolts are not tightened all the way, but it is maybe 2mm if that.

I may attempt that after Monday.. I am still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.

That is exactly what the insurance co. is going to say right now, you have to give them a chance to make it right.

There is little they can do anyway, it's not a car, insurance work is only a small portion of the dealer's business.

Wacky still has all the leverage, because the dealer has not been paid, they are going to have to find a way to satisfy him, if they want their money.

In the end, Wacky may choose to forgive some minor things to get his tractor back, but the dealer has to come a long way first.

Just don't agree pay them, before your satisfied. If at some point, they suggest you take it in the interim over some small detail, make them agree to accept partial payment.

I will NEVER agree to pay $3200 for a incomplete loader. Nor will I pay for a $760 hood that does not look new.

By the way, I called today to stay on top of things, check on progress. The mechanics leave at 4:00. So I called at 3:00, left a message to have him call...................guess what, no call. Like was said before....it is going to take ALOT to make me happy again. By ALOT I mean, just make things right:).
