To make my tractor narrow enough to fit in where I park it, I removed the output flapper on my 60" deck.
I've found that without that flapper on, it will shoot grass clippings quite a distance. I now leave it off permanently and use it to blow off the driveway, herd leaves toward the outside (into the woods) of my lawn --as long as the leaves aren't too thick-- and it spreads grass clippings around well enough that I haven't felt the need to bag at all. A nice time-saver.
