Ditto -- when using the FEL for anything with some weight to it, I put the BH on. Similarly, I NEVER use the BH without the FEL on, and something heavy in it. Learned this the hard way....
What happened? Only had my GC 1720 since January, and I am only now getting enough break in the weather to start to use it for more than just pushing snow...

I didn’t have any issues, other than being uncomfortable.
Glad I have gotten all the advice and am going to build a 3 point concrete block to help when using the front loader.

Oh, I've had my 2310 in all sorts of awkward positions... trying to lift a log with the BH and suddenly having only one wheel in contact with the ground... Things like that send a real strong message!
That BH hydraulic system is WAY stronger than the weight of the tractor can bear if you're in a less than optimal position to begin with. Now, I try just a teensy bit of lift and see what the tractor does; if it's going to tip, then I shift position & try again... gently! Carrying a large log with the BH, the front can easily lift up, etc. etc.
Rule #2 -- NEVER go down a steep slope (or up it, for hat matter) without being in 4WD.
I do mow side-slope to a certain extent, but have tested it over the years to know it can handle it... but I still go slowly and use 4WD.

Finishing minor cleanup on the slope / project and standing looking at the combination of angles, sandy Liam soil, debris and decided not putting the tractor on it again.
Totally agree about 4wheel drive to give more control.

I took everyones advice and have not gone back on the sloped land my neighbor and I were clearing. I also took a hitch carrier I had and bought 3 bins and added 100lbs of sand to each. So, 300 lbs of sand and a 50 Lb carrier plus the 40lb 3point adapter hitch for about 390lbs plus my weight.
So, anytime I use the bucket, this is on the back of the tractor. Amazing difference in the feel of the unit when there is weight in the bucket.
Also found some videos on Youtube uploaded by accident investigation agencies. One thing I do every time I start it is fasten the seat belt.
