GC1725MB in my future?

I had a 2014 GC1710, sold it at 560hrs. Zero issues with it. When I sold it the backhoe weeped a bit at the block.

Replaced it with a 2019 GC1723e. Very happy so far at 65 hrs. It does have an intermittent fuel gauge issue (shows full al the time).

I upgraded for the better lift, breakout force, SSQA, ergonomics and
Drive over deck.

Didn稚 look anywhere else.

JDs proprietary QA was not appealing at all.

When I first staring looking I was convinced that a JD 1025 was in my future but I had made a list of several tractors to do some research on. After watching some videos and reading a lot of stuff and checking with a few dealers, the JD dropped right off the list. Part of the reason was the proprietary QA. At the outset it would seem to be a great thing but in reality not so much at least to me. The dealers were very proud of their products too. I still have a few left on my short list to choose from but the MF is at the top currently. I appreciate the responses here.

I will say this, if frequent dismounting of the front loader is in your future with the tractor, the kubota bx does have a leg up on everybody else. Everything involved with separating loader from tractor is done from the driver's seat, not the least of it d/c'ing the multi-coupler by flipping a lever, pretty sweet. Just throwing it out there to complicate your decision. :D

The backhoe dismounting on the Kubota also has something different to offer from the competition as well, but I don't think it's that big a deal.

The release for the front hydraulics is nice on the Kabota but again it is a question of how often you think you will be taking the FEL assembly off? I mow with mine on I just have to remember it is there when I back up and turn.

I don't generally mow with mine, but the couple times I did, I tried it all 3 ways...with the bucket on, the bucket detached from loader arms, and the whole loader off. Final verdict, loader off completely would be my choice for mowing.

Actually, I've had this thing working as a tlb pretty much since I got it, I had enough work for it to do for loader and backhoe. Couple days ago I finally dropped off the hoe and strapped on the snow blade coz we were expecting weather here.

There she is, sitting next to the mower deck, asking what am I doing here with you?!! IMG_20191030_094121.jpg

Of the 360+ hours on my machine there are no more than 30 hours of mowing on my machine. It's been all TLB, TL Brush Hog, TL Box Blade, T Forks Trailer etc etc etc. I kept my Cub Cadet 2206 to eat up the mowing hours

I thought it was just me but I usually mow with the loader installed. I have a lot of trees and obstacles so I don't try to get really close to those things, that and with the ROPS you can't get under them well anyway. In ten years of having mine, I have probably only removed the loader a dozen times. I did notice the Kubota's system for the hydraulic hose coupling on the loader. Nice and it would be great to see Massey adopt that. I don't recall what Kubota did for removing the hoe but on my Cub Cadet it isn't too difficult after the first time. It's too bad they stopped production of those as they were a great tractor.

Yeh, taking the loader quicker wasn't a big selling point for me either, so I was left with the general feel of the tractor being the deciding factor whether the kubota bx was worth the premium over a gc17xx, answer for me was nope.

Oh hey man, speaking of cubs, you should check out yanmar tractors also, I think they share some bloodlines. The home depot by me has one on their lot as a rental now (they used to rent out kubuta bx25), looks nicely appointed.

I loved the Yanmar tractors and looked at them. Back in 2015 they were priced out of sight and made JD look cheap. That ended my interest in them.

There is a guy down the road who has one and I always mean to stop and ask about it but never make the time.

I looked up that multi-coupler. Actually it took a little research, so that made me even more curious lol. It's a Parker Hannifin part, about $1k.

I did look online at them. There are definitely some similarities to the Cub Cadet/Yanmar tractors of old. Just a guess but I suspect that most of SCUT on the market today are powered by Yanmar engines. I have not had any issues with mine at all. It would be worth a stop at the dealer to see who and where they are. I do see a dealer that is relatively close to home. I had not heard of them at all so the stop to visit might be in order just to satisfy my curiosity.

I have nothing bad at all to say about mine. It has worked well for me. Crazy as it is, my biggest complaint was with the dealer in their responses to me after the two companies split. Looking at the Yanmar website, they do appear to be pretty proud of them. The prices seem to be in the same area as the JD dealer. I don't mind paying a premium price if there is something in it for me but from what I see on their page, tractors like the Massey and the RK and LS will be hard to beat for price.
