Buying Advice Kubota M7040, Think I'm gonna do it...

What convinced you to go with a track loader in lieu of a tractor? Just curious.

I'd say the difference between a M7040 and a track loader is so great that it defies explanation.

The OP is in the landscaping business. Hardly is an ag-style tractor going to be useful is someone's backyard. It was probably a pipe-dream based on a job he bid for.

That's the set up I was going to get. A little expensive, but real nice... however I ended up getting a Kubota SVL track loader, so no 3 point stuff anymore.

You know you can hook 3pt stuff up to the front of your skid loader, right?

I think you made a good choice. I would prolly be in one, too if I didn't have fields to cut and snow contracts spaced as far apart as they are.

If business improves I may look at a used one...

That is a big change of the ol' mind there.

Picked it up today... what a difference going from a L3600 to the M7040! The thing is sweet! I will not sleep tonight, it's pouring rain and I only got to use it for a couple hours till I was about froze, I feel like a little kid on Christmas eve:D
Will post pics and specs when I get a chance

In one post you said to picked up the M7040 and used it for a couple of hours until you about froze... then in another post you said you changed your mind before you picked it up.

Is this a game to you?

I'm not sure what all of the posting is about.

He must have one heck of a dealer, to special order in that M7040 and let him use it and then exchange it for the tracked loader. Great for him if it didn't cost him any money I guess. :confused3:

Do you think that I use him too much? Maybe I should cut down some. Oh, yes I do seem to like him, for some unknown reason.;)

Ya, I don't know how he felt, we've done business with those guys for a long time, I think I got a real good deal on price for the M7040, and I think he gave me a little higher price on the track loader, which is definately understandable.
Super cool when people are nice like that! I went in not expecting him to do it or if he was up for it, I expected him to be a little upset. Said no problem, can sell the 7040 easy.... Second day with the SVL 90. The thing is amazing! Too much power, it makes me nervous, have to be gentle with my old truck.

C&N Tractor is a great dealership:thumbsup:

Why that type of machinery change. Those are pretty different types of machines. About the only thing they have in common is that they are both Kubota's. Why the big switch? :confused2:
