The backhoe will need the legs and the boom up normally. If it still binds you can stretch out the boom. Usually that will take enough pressure off of the pins that they will come out. Once in a while, there will be a side to side bind, if there is you may need to pressure down one leg or the other to off set the bind. Try it both ways, everything up or leg to leg to see which way works best with your tractor. What I have described above is what I have observed from the small removable backhoes that I have either owned or worked on.
