According to the parts books it's the same unit for all the GCs. The only difference I can see for parts is that the new models don't have the rubber bushings, at least according to the parts book (but I could be missing it). The unit in the new models is also mounted lower on the column with a longer shaft and u-joint for the tilt steering instead of being connected directly to the steering wheel with a short shaft.
This was one of the reasons that I chose the GC in the first place, because, for the most part, all the parts or at least 90% of them are all the same. Massey might not sell a lot of them but with so many models all using the same parts the likelihood of becoming obsolete or unavailable is smaller.
