Well I have decided to bite the bullet, Picking up the Jinma 6" chipper Friday.. A days assembly, and will see what happens..


I know that North American chippers are more sturdy but can justify over twice the cost, Maybe if I was in the business of cutting trees for others.

While you are there, what size and model of snowblower do you have? Would you get the same thing if you would have to buy another one tomorrow?

For the PTO isues I use a couple of old sandbags made from lenghts of worn out blue jean legs. I toss them on the seat when I want to engage the pto while off the tractor. My tractor has both 540, and 960 rpm pto speeds, and works at 540 while off the seat by tipping the seat ahead, but when in 960rpm mode the mid pto turns too, so they chose to require weight on the seat for that.

Did you get that chipper assembled and working yet? I'm also curious as I have a 2300 and have been eyeballing those jinma's. Most of my brush is sage and scrub oak of 2" and less..

Sorry for the delay in responding.. After spending full day un-crating , assembling and adjusting the chipper. All I can say is wow.. I had wished I purchased 2 years ago.. No more shoving 2" branches into a yard machine.

The only thing that makes me nervous it the speed I have to engage the PTO at. (or risk stalling the tractor)


As far as the snowblower it's a Argo trend C-54. Yes I would purchase again, With just a few more sear pins this time..
