GC2310

I too went through all the colors. It was a fun trip looking at all the different makes and learning along the way. In the end I got the 2300 and am very happy with it.

I like the ease of operation in general.
The hydro treadle in particular.
Low RPM will still lift the bucket for moving out of the garage.
Maintenance points are easily accessed.
Built to service yourself.
Brush guard drops by pulling a a couple of pins.
All Cat 1 toys fit it.
Quiet, even when running at speed.
Gauges can be read with wearing my glasses.
Differential lock is great.

The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of a cab.

I would recommend the 2300 to anyone wanting a small tractor with a big heart.:)

Bill177,
The GC2300 has a soft side cab available. You can look on Massey's website and download the GC literature and it shows it on the last page. What i like is the 2300 has a cast iron differential and the BX24 and 2305 have aluminum differential cases. I have cracked aluminum gear box's on some tillers and don't want to do that on a tractor.

I bought my GC2310 one year ago. It has about 500 hours on it. The problems I have had are few.
(1) At about 20 hours broke the hydraulic filter off. Dealer covered it under warranty. I made a skid plate for it and have had no more problems.
(2) Broke both turn signal lights off. My fault over tightened it.
(3) Broke the hydraulic screen nut off. My fault over tightened it.

I use mine mostly for backhoeing and brush hoging.
The only complaint I have is the backhoe teeth wear out fast. To solve that problem I welded 6 inch long piece of leaf spring to the teeth. In
Missouri all we have is rock and hard pan so the digging is hard.
I have a good dealer so would buy another Massey. I do wish the hydraulics were a little stronger for the front loader.

Tony Covert, nice to hear from you and another 2310 we should start a club. I am sorry to say I have never used my backhoe,I need to make the time some times I joke with my boss that it takes me a long time to talk myself into coming to work ,all I want to do is dig in the dirt. What have you been using your backhoe for?

Wouldn't it be a coincidence that after the tractor shows up a person may be struck with such an illness that he is unable to remove his/her butt from the seat of such tractor. I am sure that there are many that have been afflicted in such a way that many sick days have been used.

Just waiting for warm weather and mud season to pass - then I can succumb to that dreaded disease again.:)

I 've gone and done it. The new shiny MF GC2310 should be in my driveway on Friday. I don't think there will be any considerable work getting done on Friday, just hurry up and get outta there.
