Hi,

We're looking for a compact tractor. We rent last year for many times a Kubota B-21 to do our landscaping. Here is a lot of stones, big stones. We also took off many big trees's roots. We didn't finish and we plan to do a trail in the wood in the future. So, we consider that it maybe it would be better to buy one tractor, but we don't want to spend $27,000. for a tractor.

We have seen the MF GC2310TLB and we were very impress about the price and the financing, but after talking with some other brand dealers, we're not sure that it will be the right one for us. The MF salesman does'nt help us; we would like to see the tractor in operation to figure if it's strong enought but he didn't suggest us to see it from his customer and user of the MF that he pretends it's okay...

So, what do you thing about it? Is it strong enought for us? We won't work with it all the day, but just during the week-ends and it doesn't matter if it take more time than the B-21, but it has to do the job...

Thank you for your response.

The 2310 has more HP but it is 1200 lbs lighter, the FEL is smaller and handles 250 lbs less and the backhoe also handles less. Will it work for you? Hard to tell too many variables. How heavy are the rocks, how large are the roots and trees? I have done a lot of things with mine and love it but I do not have to move rocks, but if it is not heavy enough for your situation then it will be frustrating.

My little red MF'er is strong but I will not say that it will do everything, there are just some things that are too big of a job for this thing. Don't get me wrong, you can do a lot, but sometimes it does takea good bit longer.

Fred, ijust bought my GC2310 two weeks ago, like the others have said this tractor can do alot if your patient. it lacks a little weight. I have been digging up a lot of solid icew with the backhoe and in my opinion ice is a lot harder to dig up then gravel or earth. if the B21 did the job just enough then you should look at a bigger tractor. I was impressed with the kioti's. where are you from do I detect a french accent?

From what I've found as a gage for the size of rocks it can lift. If the rock can fit in the bucket it can typically lift it (somewhat symmetrical). As for digging up stumps. The biggest I've done so far has been two 9" split at the root ball. It took some time and it ended up being a pretty big hole but It did just fine. I find that roots that are bigger than 2" to 2 1/2" you have too tear with the BH teeth to break them out.

I might be crazy and it will the biggest test yet is digging out a 20" dia. walnut stump. I plan on taking some pictures with this task I assume I will need the chain saw to help.

I've had mine for about 4 weeks now. I was having a bit of buyer痴 remorse after purchasing and awaiting delivery as I was starting to think it was not going to be enough tractor. After getting it home I had a complete change of heart as it does everything I was hoping it would do. When you look at the size of the tractor you really don't think of it being much of a work horse but it most definitely is.

Do a search on 2310 and there are some photo's showing some of it's capabilities.

After my experience with the BX22 I think you might end up wanting a little more. That is hard to say without seeing your projects though. Attached are a couple of pictures that I feel represent the maximum capabilities (without stressing the machine too much) of tractors the size of a CG2310, BX, 2305, etc. The rocks in the pile were carried there in the BX loader, the rocks against the stone wall in the battlefield picture had to be rolled / pushed there, and couldn't be lifted with the loader. Hope this helps you get some idea about the capabilities of tractors this size.

A Mahindra 2015 with BH, or Kioti CK20 would perhaps not be too much more money, but would be perhaps better for your jobs.

Thank you very much for your answers and pictures. To answer you, I'm french canadian from Quebec, that's why my english sounds weird... :)

Here, there's no Mahindra dealer; I have checked it on the website and there's only one in Ontario, but it's 300 miles away...

But, we have seen the new compact tractor Bobcat series; there's only one dealer in Quebec for the moment that sell the tractors, but he told us that all the Bobcat dealers will get them soon.

It seems to be a Kioti ck20 for the ct120. I have recognized some compoments from Kioti on the Bobcat. Price of Kioti here is not good but for a Bobcat, it's better. I might go for Bobcat ct122 which seems to be the same as the new Kioti ck20s... but of course the MF gc2310TLB has best financing at best price. So, I still don't know what to do... Any others comments will be appreciate.

Pathman, bien heureux de savoir qu'il y a ici un autre Qu饕馗ois. :)

Tell me, Pathman, what is the price you get for your tractor? I have seen two dealers here and there is around $1,000. of difference between them: the best price I get is $19,500. including 2 additional oil exit for an hydraulic snowthrower.

The bigger one after the GC2310 is 28hp and it cost $27,000.

I can have a Bobcat 22 for $22,290. and this one is a copy of a Kioti... but financing is less interesting than MF...

I got mine for 18800.00$ where are they running your extra hydraulics from? I think that you can run a 3pt snowblower of the backhoe hydraulics. Iwas told by a friend of mine that I got an amazing price, he as a dealer could not get that price so 19 500.00 is not bad. I would call all the massey dealers in Quebec I think that they are trying to dump what they have in stock for the older gc models.
c'est quelle grosseur de roche et de souche que t'as bessoin de clairer? Il faut que je te dit que j'avais le meme crainte que toi, mais a tout les fois que je prends le tracteur je suis inpressioner.
