Tractor
Branson 6225h
Hi there,
New to tractors, just acquired a Branson 6225h (stuffed ankle and knee so wanted to avoid shifting gears). I have 85 off-grid acres of hilly overgrown ex-dairy to clear of lantana, thornbush etc. tracks to maintain and rebuild, fences to build....a few generations of work in short. Of the 85, 30 are green reserve and about 25 are clear (apart from lantana!), the rest is either too steep for a tractor of filled with regrowth.

I know next to nothing about tractors but am watching a lot of youtube (Tractor Mike, Stoney Ridge, Hamiltonville etc.) to get tips and clues. My neighbour has many years experience and there is a good mechanic in town so, with luck, I will not kill myself!

I'll be asking questions in the Branson forum so any tips are appreciated.
Cheers,
Greg

Welcome to TBN. I've not met an Aussie on here that I didn't like. Anxious to follow your process of cleaning up the property. Start a thread and post up some pics.

Bullbreaker: Hadn't come across him before, seems flash...but then I'm no horseman...rode one a bit when a kid up north (an old farm nag) but not a 'real' horse. Aussies have a bit of history with horses...we won the 3rd battle of Gaza when the 4th Light Horse Brigade did a cavalry charge at Beersheba in WW1...me, I'm a ex infantryman so used to going everywhere on foot (probably why my ankle and knee give me trouble now!)

Overszd: Aussies are traditionally laid back ...but that is changing as the cities become more populated...pack people in like rats and they act like rats + our politicians only seem to feather their own nests (but that is common in all the family of man!) Sadly the Australia I was raised in is rapidly disappearing...out in the bush you still meet more good people but even there it is changing as greed\ big business\ over government\ over taxation impacts the people. Here are a few shots from the block over time that, hopefully, give an idea of the peace I get there escaping the rat race.bush 2016.jpgshed build 2016.jpgSunset 2019.jpg
