Thanks! Learn something new every day. I looked them up. SC should not have used the generic "relay". That type of relay is expensive.They are a special kind of relay. Called "current sensing" relay.
They have a few (10-20) turns of heavy wire for the coil. Used instead of the internal centripetal swich. The pull in and drop out current is different but they're made with that in mind.

I picked up a free washing machine motor....it has 2 speeds. I have yet to try
it, however. The lower speed would work well, it would seem. Anyone try that?
