gear shift problem ...

Hi there - My 4110 2WD diesel has high & low range & reverse on the left hand column shift and 4 shift positions on the right hand side column shift. 3rd & 4th gear on the right hand column shift will not engage in either high or low range. Any clues?? Thanks, Ged

I have a New Holland TB110 having problems getting it out of reverse.

Barry - Since I posted this I've been in contact with the dealer (30 yrs on Fords). He assures me that it is just a minor adjustment issue with the connectors under the s'wheel just behind the p'steering unit. At worst - the top may need to be taken off the gear housing for minor internal adjustment. Definitely no whole gear box rebuild etc. He argues that it is minor because I can still use the other gear positions. Cheers, Ged
