I am just about to take delivery of a new Kubota L3010 and was going to store it in the garage but it is really just too big. I have an abandoned sheep shack (very happy to get rid of my sheep!) and was going to store it there? It will have one exposed opening but will have a roof and 3 walls. Should it be fully enclosed or does it make any difference? From some of the postings I have gotten the general impression that you should either park it in the garage or leave it outside and forget about it. I have too much money to do the latter and to little space in the garage (a ’69 Mustang takes up most of the space I had reserved for the Kubota…)
I am sort of at a standstill? Any recommendations?
And yes, I would love to dump the Mustang but my Father in law would not be too happy. He bought that hunk of junk brand new.
One more detail, I live in Oregon and it rains here on occasion.

I think a roof and 3 walls should be more than adequate. If necessary or desired it would be very simple and inexpensive to add a set of swing out doors to the front of the sheep / tractor shed.
To make matters even simpilar, hang a good quality tarp or a canvas over the opening and Wah Lah, Instant door.

Buster3, Where are your priorities? Move the Stang to the sheep shack and use the garage for the Bota! JJT

There's an easy test for what gets the garage...What's worth more, the 1969 Mustang or the Kubota? Unless it's a Boss 302, 429 or a Shelby, I imagine the Kubota is worth more. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

It's a 302 with bad brakes, no steering and about 300 horses. Great for an 82-year-old guy!
It also leaks oil like a pig!
If it were up to me I would pay between $10- $10,000, to get rid of the car! Stipulation is that who ever takes the car must also take Grad Dad's the toy poodle with it!
This guy was a B-29 pilot from Tarawa and Sipan and he gets "Yes Sir" from me- simply out of respect!
But I still hate that car!
I plan on eating the poodle...
Back to the L3010- I really like the blue tarp door odea!

Sorry I can't type. I should have said "I have too much money sunk into the tractor to just leave it outside exposed to the elements."

Buster, I too am fretting about where I'm going to keep my new 3010. But I'm with you on one thing, any man who went and did the job anywhere, especially Tarawa derserves all the respect we can give! Otherwise our kubotas might have been "domestic tractors". Thank him for me!
