Howdy,
It looks like they are just not wanting to do the work. Siemens has UL listed equip, as does GE and Milbank, and Square D. Obviously, aftermarket ones do not have the UL. The complete products from the manufacturer keeps the UL rating

I dont know what to tell ya.... all i know is i dont need any issues with inspectors here in Idaho. This is how i make my living, and if others here are having these issues, i dont need them also.
Ill just stick to the way ive been doing it all along and leave it at that. One thing for sure is i have NEVER .. not in 30 years, had a complaint from a house i wired that their backup system isnt working. I dont allow them to overtax the system.

If you don't stand up to the inspecters once and a while they will walk all over you.. Been there done that..

there are 3 elect inspectors here. if i get pissy to one, ill be dinged on everything i do for years. Not going down that path. Its not like I'm a homeowner and this is my only project or time ill see them. I have to deal with them all the time. There is a difference. Their fair to deal with, but i wont antagonize them.

I too deal with inspectors all the time but if one tells me that I can't do something that I know is is legal to do than I question it.. Just Thursday an inspector wanted a ground rod at a generator we were putting in.. I said no a showed him in the code book where it said I can't do it,,But I also asked him if it was a local code for that town that I would do it,,,but I wanted to see his book,,, I was very nice when all this happened,, one professional to another,,
