I've got my filters, now I need the oil. Can anyone recommend a brand? I've been thinking I'll use SuperTech Tractor and Hydraulic Transmission Oil from Wal-mart.
Air I believe is
Donaldson------P821575 Sure of it but open yours and it should be on the filter.
Don't have a cross for the fuel right now.
Thanks,
Maka
Boy was that wrong! You recommended I check but I didn't; just trusted you knew what you were talking about. My 4344 filter part # is P822768, not P821575 which is a much smaller filter. Oh, well. It's only money I guess.
Also, the owner manual speaks very specifically of the second air filter that fits inside the primary air filter. Upon inspection of my air filter, it is VERY obvious that there is dirt/dust on the inside of the element. This has me extremely upset and concerned that I have dusted my engine.
One last thing; What should the condition of the transmission/hydraulic oil look like at the 50 hour service and for that matter, the engine oil as well? I have a diesel engine truck and the oil goes very black in only a few hours of operation. My tractor engine oil is a golden honey color and the transmission/hydraulic oil looks as clean and clear as the new oil I am replacing it with. It sure seems a waste to toss out such clean looking oils...
