To answer your question, I can't speak for you or your feelings toward dealer A.

What I can say for myself is, this situation was reversed and you took your tractor to my dealer B it would not brother me in the least bit. I believe that's what he's there for, service the equipment that he's trained for ( first come, first serve )and if your there a day ahead of me that's understandable.

I can't ever remember in my lifetime when I've taken anyone of our vehicles into any dealer for service and asked the dealer " how many others are you servicing that didn't buy from you ? " I just want to know when do you think you will be finished with it. I know he's busy and he will do his best. NO DISCRIMINATION, NO PREJUDICE !!!!

I'm recreating this post with new life as I became a victim of HURRICANE WILMA on 10-24-05. I lost use of the month of November . Now I'm ready to get back in the game and buy that Tractor I been wanting. I have narrowed down the hunt to two models and I can get them within $500 of each other, which one should I get.

Kubota M6800 8Fx8R HYD Shuttle 4WD Frt. & Rear Diff Lock Dual Rear Hyd Remotes Ind PTO Canopy
with Kub LA1002 FEL quickattach 72"BucketRH Joystick

or

Massey Ferguson 8Fx8R Shuttle 4WD Rear Diff Lock Dual Rear Hyd Remotes Ind PTO Combining Valve Canopy
with Bush Hog M446 FEL quickattach 84" Bucket RH Joystick

Both Dealers have been in business for over 14 years and no other factors to consider other than I need to purchase before 12-30-05, or lose rebates, incentives, closeouts, etc.

Thank-you for your input in advance.

This would be a no brainer for me. I would go with the bota. You will be hard pressed to find anyone saying anything bad about a Kubota. The Massey on the other hand... my nephew works for a large landscaping company in Columbus, OH. He said they have Masseys and JD and he does not like running the Masseys. Resale on the Kubota is also great. Everyone knows they are quality. IMO.

We have a new M6800 on our farm and have been very pleased with the tractor. I don't believe I have a bad thing to say about it. My wife is a bit intimidated to drive a tractor that large, but that just means more seat time for myself.

The hyrdaulic shuttle shift is pretty slick. The tractor is quiet, smooth, and powerful. It has been a great work horse to date.

If you are looking for a heavy duty rotary cutter, I strongly suggest you consider the Bush Whacker cutters. They are built very tough and are priced very competitively.

Maybe I missed it, but which Massey are you looking at MF461, MF471, or MF5435?

I really like my bota, it works great, runs hard and is very stong, I have been really checking out the NH's that my clients have and have been really impressed with how they are layed out, I am not sure about their dependibility, my FIL has had trouble with his, but he does not take care of it either....

Hey ricko thanks for the input, I forgot to mention MF model in the post its MF 471. I compared these tractors closely and was very impressed with both. Trying to buy the Most Tractor for the Money. The MF is $750 less than Kubota, do you still believe its a "no brainer", to still buy Kubota? I need to buy it now before year end & while he still has it in stock. Thank-you

I think it's a very close comparision and a diffucult decision to make, which unit is the out right WINNER ?

I'm sure different people view certain things more favorable than other things. Is it better to have more weight, length, height, & width ??? Or is better to have less of these ???

I'm trying to make a decision on one of them, and it seems like there really is no clear cut winner to me.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ? PLEASE RESPOND SOON, AS I WILL BUY ONE OF THESE UNITS BEFORE DEC. 31, 2005 .. Thanks
