there are alot of times that the seat switch is a pain. i often like to stand when i brush hog tall grass so i can watch for objects more easily...with the seat switch it dies when in gear and/or pto engaged when i do this.
sometimes i need to troubleshoot an implement, front or rear, need the pto on for this. rear, yea, there is a work around, but what about when i need to check the auger operation on my front blower?
99% of the time, the seat switch is fine, but there are times when it just doesn't work.
Standing up, eh? That's when you'll fall off and have most need for that seat switch!
I'm pretty sure you know I mow with the loader installed and the bucket lip about 10" (give or take) off the ground...that's my "cow catcher".
And, when you're troubeshooting a running implement...maybe a helper would be handy. I don't know the percentage, but I'll guess it's over 50% of accidents are folks working alone...and someone goes looking for them when they don't come home when expected.
Just my 2 cents...
