I just got my 5030HSTC tractor a couple weeks ago and here, in Virginia, it has been in the 80s & 90's and humid since I got it. I now have about 20 hours on her and cannot believe how I lived with out a cab. I was mowing the other day and hit a hornet nest with all them on the other side of the glass I was very relieved. I also had a hydro line on the FEL come off the fitting (the dealer and I are guessing it may have been overtightened at the factory and under pressure, it failed) and sprayed fluid all over the tractor, including the windshield. This would have been in my face with out the windshield.

If you are on the fence about getting a cab, get it, you won't regret it!

This is just in the first 20 hours! I can't wait for winter!

Kevin & John,

That makes 3 of us!!! I'm only up to 12 hours :( Been TOO busy with other things to get enough CAB time :)

Have a Blessed Day!
Terry

ps John, Thanks for the email with your list of projects!

Congradulations on the new tractor!

I have had my cab tractor two years now and have no plans of ever going back to a non-cab tractor. Bush hogging in 90 degree heat used to be murder. Now it is enjoyable.

Congrats on the new 5030. I am quite happy with my L5030HSTC that I purchased last fall . I just hit the 50 hour mark yesterday and knock on wood no problems yet:).

I fully agree on the benefits on the cab. I am quite happy that I spent the extra to get it as I believe, that for me at least, the positives (climate control is assume: no dust, bugs, snow, rain!) way out weigh the couple negatives (slight annoyance when doing task that involves getting on/off tractor repeatedly, increased height requires some extra care in the woods).

Happy tractoring!

Thx.

Tim

I didn't think I needed a cab until I vomited last weekend from all the dust I sucked in... not to mention it was 97 degrees in the shade.

HI, I've been dreaming about upgrading from my L3010 to the L5030hst with a cab. I haven't gotten to the point of getting any prices yet. I'm guessing those are around 28k or more with a fel. I can't really justify that much for a new tractor when the one I have only has 300 hrs and has done about everything I've ever asked it to do...great machines for sure. I would like to have a little more horsepower and the cab would be really nice to have.

Have a great day and get plenty of seat time

Purchased my B3030 HSDC last october, the cab is sweet. My last tractor had a curtis cab, it was nice, but the factory cab with ac is awesome!

I went from an L4330 to L5030HSTC. What a difference!!! I love the A/C! Yes, it cost more, but now my wife is willing to mow the pastures! I finally have help.

I too have been really happy with the 5030HSTC. I am at 187 hrs. and have had no trouble. I might add that I have put it to the test many times!! The FEL will lift more than I thought it would.
