ya well high in relation to residential rates. My jet sky trailer costs $30 for a 10 year license tag. but my horse trailer costs $25 per year. they should both cost $3/year HEHE. Man im cheap.

I'am guessing the best bang for the buck when it comes to licenses is the licenses to wed ! :laughing:

I didn't believe it possible...

California charges $2 a year for trailers payable in 5 year increments.

So for $10 every 5 years just about any trailer is good to go... boat, horse, cargo, car hauler, etc.

i really dont remember my trailer costs when i lived in California. been too long ago.

I do remember them *&*&*&*& wanting me to license a 28 foot semi trailer that wasnt even used to haul on the roads. They kept bugging me to license it. I didnt think Calif had cheap rates on anything at all.... hehe




according to the CA dmv site for the san fernando valley where i used to live, the rates start at $20/yr for a trailer. I guess it all depends on where you live in CA.

i just ran a trial registration for my F350, commercial reg like i have here if i lived in Calif

ready.... $634.00 per year.

My work truck, a 2002 Isuzu NQR costs me a lil over a grand a year to register here. I just registered my permanent plate dump trailer, changed over from old owner, had to PAY for a pink slip, not needed anymore they say on permanent plate trailers, extra if you want it and it was $132.00.

I just got done going way out of my way to help some folks broke down in the front of my house, they were going up to the park today a holiday. (Read prior post from me in this thread) They had a flat, no wrench. So I go an grab a 1/2" breaker and a 14mm socket ( 3/8" drive socket and extension) w/ a reducer and I hand it to the boy. He couldn't budge it. I grab it and lay into it and I broke the 3/8 x 6" Craftsman extension clean in half!

Oh boy. So I stretch out about 120' of air hose from the garage, grab a 1/2" impact and hit it, ONE lug came off! 130PSI too!

Oh MAN! Time to get serious! So I open the plumbing truck....hehe, my truck is awesome, I grab a 5' x 1" IPS gal nipple and walk out there and busted them loose... I can't tell you how appreciative these boys were. I think they were from China, nice boys. I took my time to learn them how to do it next time, I don't think they understood to much what i was saying. Life goes on...I sleep well. :cool:

I snapped the head off of my Craftsman 24" breaker bar trying to remove a lug nut that the dealer put on my van when i got a new set of winter tires. I asked them to hand tighten everything and they told me they did. NOT.

I had to heat and remove nearly every lug nut. I then had to go to Chevrolet and order 24 new nuts ($1.10 each). I would go yell at Les Schwab, but they wouldn't care.

Sears took back the breaker bar and gave me a new one... even though the old one was all rusted and about 20 years old+++. Gots to love Sears.

I've helped out like that too. A 24" breaker bar is a wonderful thing. It's not so wonderful when the stud snaps off. I like to help but sometimes it bites you!
