Getting off B2920 without the engine stalling

/ Getting off B2920 without the engine stalling #11
I have a 2620 and used to have the same problem with engine shutdown when getting off the seat or when hitting bumps. Not to be unsafe but I finally wire-tied the seat safety down so it wouldn't shut off the engine. I know it's not as safe as Kubota and or our Feds want but.......

i was in the middle of a french drain job in a back yard when my old bx23 seat switch went south on me. 5 minutes and some electrical tape i never had that issue again. i always ment to fix it since it was a "safety issue" but never did.

I have a b2920 and never put it into neutral when getting off tractor and sometimes don't even put the parking brake on ,I have to agree sounds like the hydro pedal sticking or out of adjustment,or pto not 100% off for out of adjustment.

For sure, disabling the safety advice is just masking some other issue. I often jump off mine for a quick adjustment and with the HST in gear it'll roll on a good slope, but only very slowly. I personally wouldn't want to put it in neutral as that would seem more risky.

I refer to neutral as the position between H and M on the range shift lever located on the left hand fender. The OP wrote "I put the HST in "N" ", there is no "N" associated with the forward or reverse pedals.
Of course there is a neutral between the forward and reverse pedal and is exactly what the OP said HE put the HST In neutral not the gear shift, what do you think it does when its not moving forward or reverse, its in neutral. It is not either going forward or going in reverse. If the pedal is centered and it isn't moving, its in HST neutral which is what it has to be for it to crank even if it is in H or M or L OR even Neutral as far as the gears are concerned.

This is true, shifting into neutral would let the tractor freely roll if even a slight incline. I always leave mine in gear when dismounting and lower the FEL to block it from moving if not on level ground. When in gear the HST prohibits movement more than very slowly. I cant even pull it more than a foot or so with the backhoe if it is in gear.

NO, he said he put in in "N"!! There is no "N" on the forward and reverse pedals, only a self centering neutral position!! Read what was written, not what you want it to say.
BTW If one hits the "speed set device" instead of the "parking brake lever" (they are right next to each other) it would cause the engine to stall "whether the machine is moving or not".
