I got rid of all my moles.....

1- Tried trapping them with just about every type of trap know to man... got a few...
2- Stuck Juicy Fruit gum down in the runways...
3- Tried poison peanuts...
4- Stomped down the runways and pitch forked the area when I saw movement... got a few... [ most fun ]
5- Bought ' Milky Spore ' to put on my yard, 'posed to be a fungus that would kill off grubs...
6- Used other grub control store bought poisons...
7- Spent hours running an exhaust hose down into the tunnels...
8- Used those smoke bomb things you light and put into the tunnels...
9- many other things I can not recall...

Finally, I moved........ problem solved....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

We have a property with voles. About 3 years ago they were relentless, 2 years ago they were bad, a year ago they made a few trails in the grass where they ate the roots. This past summer they were almost non existent.

My 80+ year old neighbor has a different take. He has grown to accept them!

He's not a lot older than I am, but I'm inclined to agree with him.

I was okay with the tunnels, even the occasional mound of dirt, but last night while mowing I see where they have began to develop a condo! Enough is enough, it's time for diesel therapy.

WHAT??? the 'pinchers' are illegal here in WA state? Is the pincher the same thing as a four pronged kind of scissor type I am using?

Yep.......illegal to use on moles. What you have there is a collectible antique......I got a bunch of them.....keep them on a display shelf in the shop.......I keep them in working order by strategically placing them in the ground couple times a year......I put a sign near them warning the moles to stay away from my antique collection.

Moles eat a lot more than just grubs, worms actually make up a bulk of their diet. You can not eliminate their food source.

Maybe so in some case but after the grubs came to the surface and died the moles never came back to my lawn.

If your lawn is missing worms I'd say you have bigger problems than moles. But I'm assuming soil in NC is a lot different than NE.

Oh yea, worms are not too common here. My neighbor brought in a truckload of them for his farm. Literally. That pile was a bit eerie to look at because of their movements. Kinda like you were looking at it through heat waves. His farm is doing quite well also.

As to prairie dogs. Rattlesnakes like to eat the young ones.:D
For moles. I wasted hundreds of dollars on Grubx, Bug B gon, and several other killers to get rid of the food. Still had moles. Gassed them for awhile. That got a few. Killed a few more with a shovel. Started leaving the bodies for the fox to find. That got rid of all the moles in my backyard. Finally bought a Mole Eliminator 1000 trap. Took 12 out of my front yard in one month.

Now mole free but neighbor is not so working on his. He does not care if they are there or not but I know they will be looking at my nice lawn soon.

Told the neighbors if they see me sitting in a chair in the yard with a gun in my hand I am not crazy just waiting for a mole to move.

Death to moles. May they become extinct.

Yeah daves,......I made a bright red sign and pasted it to the kitchen door........."Mole War"..........was to remind me to run the traps. If I was gainfully employed , (not retired)I would not have time for this mole hunt.
Cheers,
Mike
