RollTide1974, come on down to Talladega and we can talk about a couple of Kubota's. you can check them out and get some ideas

Just spoke with one of the reps Saturday from Tuscaloosa Kubota. Can't recall the name but he gave me a good idea what the L4701 and MX5200 packages would be.

Thanks eceryone for the info! I am still looking and need to jump on a few of them and drive them. I sat on the 4540 Saturday and man that ting is a beast! I've seen the l4701 in person, but haven't seen the MX5200 yet. I really like how wide the 4540 was, it seems like it would be pretty stable due to the width.

RollTide1974, Ls is a tractor that is made that has a lot of followers. They make some of the new holland equipment.
and others. There is an LS section in the forum. It is a great tractor for the money. There are a lot of good tractors. Dealer support can make a great difference. I picked the LS due to weight, options included, price and good people to buy from.

Make sure you will be happy with the gear transmission on the Mahindra. If doing loader work it will be tiresome. Shuttle or hydrostat is better for that application which the MX offers.

I wanted a Kubota subcompact tractor but it was several thousand more than the LS I bought which has better specs in most regards and I like the side by side pedals better too. Kubota has tons of OEM accessories for their tractors while LS doesn't for the type of tractor I'm looking at.

I went with the 4540 4wd Mahindra. Got the tractor, HD trailer, 6 cutter, 6 box blade, set of Titan forks, scrape blade, bale spear for the loader, plus first payment paid for 31,300. Just waiting for it to be delivered.
