To add a pressure gage, remove the pressure line to the valve and add a tee, a nipple, and a reducer for the hyd gage, and connect to the input port.. Any function you do with the valve will show on the gage, letting you know the pressure. This will help you trouble shoot the hyd system. The gage setup can be permanent or Quick Disconnect, for use in other places.

I would definitely make them fix it and test it in your presence.

One of those spools provides fluid to the cyl ports, and once you fill the cyl, and then shut off the gate valve, there is no where for the fluid to go, unless it is leaking internally. .

I finally got the cylinder apart and everything looks good inside of it... I will post pics in a bit so you guys can tell me if you see anything wrong, but I doubt its the problem. Im at a loss here, the valves have been re-done and the cylinder is good.... What else could it possibly be??:mad:

EDIT:: Pics attached. The bolt was completely tight when I pulled the cylinder apart... In the pics its loose, I took it out. On another note, if its not the cylinder the shop that re-did the valves "gulf hydraulics" will repair the machine on site at not charge to me or I will take them to small claims court.

Don't forget to put a straightedge on the outside of the cyl barrel in several spots....(in case it's blown/swelled out)
