Are these mowers a good outfit? I've been very happy with all the Kubota's I've owned, but know nothing about the front mount mowers. The dealer is bringing out a new ZD21 to try, and I found a used GF1800,60"deck,2wd,433hours for $6000.00. Is this a good deal? Any advice would be of great assistance.Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

When I decided to get a dedicated mower one of the mowers I demoed was a GF1800. I liked the mower. But it had handling problems on rough ground. It would bounce back and forth between mower and rear wheels. If your lawn is smooth then this is a great mower. I ended buying a JD F735. It has a longer wheel base and rides better on my uneven lawn.
Here is a listing for a F735 on Ebay. Item number: 4326042229
I also tried out a couple of ZTR's. They have a rough ride. I did not try the Kubota ZD models.
My B2910 with 72" MMM has a much better ride than any of the mowers tested.
One thing that I have noted about my F735 is how little Diesel Fuel it uses to cut my lawn. It uses 1 1/8 gallons to cut my 2 acres of lawn. I have a lot of trees and other obstacles to cut around.
