Stay away from radio controlled "toys."

It's a slippery slope.

What started with a cheap Chinese clone of a clone of a clone helicopter for Christmas has now cost me more than I care to admit.

Stay away.

The guys from the wood turning club that were set up at the gun show a few years ago cost me a lot of money. In all honesty they weren’t the only factor but the last one.

Fly fishing has cost me a bomb over the years with so many different rods for different conditions and always need a better one, of course they have to be Sage, Loomis, Winston etc etc, can't have a cheap one can I.
Cameras are much the same and we almost need a trailer to carry all our lenses with us.
Horses, we have six showjumpers and they will ensure I will have to work until I am 90 unless the daughters marry a vet and a feed manufacturer.

I am normally not a fan of "weird Steven" King's books but I do like the Gunslinger books at least so far. I also like Clive Cussler, all the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child (even liked the movie although "shorty" Tom Cruise no way matches the description of Jack Reacher), James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Dean Koontz, Sandra Brown, W.E.B. Griffin, Iris Johansen, Dan Brown, John Connolly and Catherine Coulter. In other words just about any action type / mystery novel with the occasional biographic or western novel thrown in.

I buy most of my books at flea markets for about $1 or less each but I do sometimes buy new ones by Patterson or Child. My neighbor has a RV Campground with a book loan program so I donate my books to them so they can share with others.

For those that like to read I recommend the books by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child they are quite entertaining and page turners...Their latest was recently on the NYT best seller list 'City of Endless Night'

One of their main protagonists is A.X.L. Pendergast

Another one of their protagonists is Gideon Crew

The 'Bosch' television series from Amazon was very good and very well done...
I've read all M.C's books...
