Well, it is 7 from here to Lubbock and then, what, an hour and change north to Amarillo.I could actually do that (4 hour drive).

Does Lay's potato chips get me at least half credit?
when you're having more than one.
Extra credit if you remember what beer commercial the italitized line was from.
Good recipe! But even much better if you use Carpano Antica Formula 1786 sweet vermouth.Next drink is a Manhattan.
Six ounces of Rye (I use Sazerac)
ounces of sweet vermouth
Eight shakes of angostura bitters
Stir for thirty sec with ice.
The Pièce de résistance is adding a Luxardo cherry. Notice the clear ice.
I love Manhattans, but I use Bulliet Rye. I’ll look for your vermouth recommendation.Good recipe! But even much better if you use Carpano Antica Formula 1786 sweet vermouth.

So many places cheap out on vermouth and cherries, which just ruins good rye.
My recipe:
1 shake Angostura bitters
2-1/4 oz rye
3/4 oz Carpano Antica Formula 1786 sweet vermouth
2-3 Luxardo Gourmet Cocktail Maraschino cherries
I like to try different ryes, but if I had to name one go-to, it'd be Woodford. The brand of rye matters less to me than the vermouth, in a Manhattan.
Yeah, my Dad was not a bricklayer, he was a Modular Masonry Clay Unit Installation Technician.I have a bartender as a tenant… nice guy but don’t call him a bartender… he corrected me and said mixologist…
Excellent choice on the vermouth. These are also a great choice for cherries:Good recipe! But even much better if you use Carpano Antica Formula 1786 sweet vermouth.
