Thingy, I'm 43 and I killed my first deer when I was 9. So that's 34 years of hunting pretty regularly. I'd say 2 bucks a year is about average. Some years none. Some years 4 or 5. I've killed 2 in one day before. So maybe less than 100, maybe 60 or so. I more selective now and last year didn't pull the trigger and this year only shot one nice 8 pointer.
I need to be shooting more does. We have _lots_ of deer here and it is good for the herd to keep the does under control. But most days I don't even feel like dressing one.
But, that's nothing. I'm sure there are younger guys on this site who have killed way more. I have a good friend in his late 60's who has killed well over 500 deer. Mostly bucks. As an extreme, I know guys who shoot them from stands on soybean fields who kill 50 or 60 a year. They consider them to be pests and don't even pick them up (they call local folks who are glad to have the meat.) But, it really isn't a sport for them, they're just trying to keep them out of their fields. (It doesn't work!)
