If you really look into it the Keystone pipeline was a big hoax, they never were going to build it in the wrought submitted. The Democrats should demand the build it south of the boarder as far as posible and then listen to the North Dakota group whine. You do remember the oil they have their.
The BS about Obama supporting Brazil he did guarantees so the brazilians would buy American equipment.
remember the outrage about the underwear bomber, being tried in civilian court and how he would walk. that Chaney dummy was all over the place pedalling her crap. well he was sentenced to life, did Fox even mention it.
The right is great at ranting about a bunch of BS, but never admit to the mistake when they are proven wrong.
What we need is a rant of the day thread and then when it is proven to be BS we could just mark it off. and if anyone tried reposting the same line of BS they would be blocked.

Observation, the tides come in and go out. They must be effected by man somehow, lets find out how!

Behind the scene the pipeline will probably be built. The reason the Canadians are in a law suite is because American law provides for the line to be built. America all but told them if you jump through these hoops and go through the permit process you get to build the pipeline. The president doesn't have the authority to stop it, the congress makes the laws and if you satisfy all the requirements you get the pipeline. When you do that and then change the rules you get into law suites. I just hope Obama has to pay the fines himself personally.

One big problem with the science of climate change is that it is under constant attack using half truths or outright falsehoods by the 91% of talk radio that is conservative. Why these talkers are in lockstep on climate change is beyond me.

I listen to conservative talk radio. If I want to listen to talk radio I have no choice except corporate controlled conservative talk radio. As a critical thinker, I am aware that the overarching preponderance of evidence is that there is global climate change caused by human activity. Many people need the three or six hours of this type of talk radio propaganda and indoctrination to maintain the corporate desired belief system that there is no climate change. It seems the corporate propaganda pushers are having a lot of success.

I truly try not to engage in argument anymore. My experience has taught me that some people's opinions are "in lockstep" (can I borrow that phrase or is there a patent on it) with their imaginations, and reality will not change that. However, I just laughed, and laughed hard, reading this thread...or rather the last post. Looked for a "high five" emoticon and couldn't find one here, so this will have to do, but locknut, this is for you. Well put. :thumbsup:

Most of us are aware that there is a need for alternative sources of energy, maybe not for the climate change, (that has been going on forever) but to decrease our nation痴 dependency to other countries and to lower energy cost.
I would venture to say that I am not the only one of us who has a concern for the future not only for our families but the country with the cost of energy. Here in the north east we had a mild winter but I still paid more to heat my home this year than last. I feel for those less fortunate than I and seniors on fixed income it has changed their life.
The problem is the cost of alternative energy and the government痴 attempt to control it and pick winners and losers. I don稚 care if it is conservative talk shows or CNN most of us know of the $500,000,000.00 investment made for solar energy to Solyndra!
If there were a reliable, cost effective energy all of us would be happy to buy into it.
But for now I will pay $4.35 + a gallon so I can go out and play on my tractor until I can no longer afford to.
For those who are concerned that the sky is going to fall from the use of Fossil Fuel go out to your tractor take the fuel cap off and let the sun shine in then let me know how far you get.
