Oh, surely he needs an SUV. I drive in rush hr traffic and the whole dam road is full of bill board butt vehicles aggressively jockeying for position, travelling without payload, even with driver considered. He needs the SUV so he can see ahead.

BUT whats this about terminator seeds? They dont destroy conventional seeds do they:confused:.

I used to be like you, but had the flexibility to change my hours from 8-5 to 6-3. No more rush hour traffic, no more wanting to install surface to surface missiles on my car.

Am glad to see I am not the only one who has these thoughts. On occasion I find myself wishing I had a hydraulic actuated cannon in the back of my truck that would raise up as needed for anyone following to close. For front guns I rely on the bug on the windshield as my sight which fires a laser demolishing the vehicle in front of me.

The tab for U.N.痴 Rio summit: Trillions per year in taxes, transfers and price hikes

By George Russell

Published April 20, 2012

The upcoming United Nations environmental conference on sustainable development will consider a breathtaking array of carbon taxes, transfers of trillions of dollars from wealthy countries to poor ones, and new spending programs to guarantee that populations around the world are protected from the effects of the very programs the world organization wants to implement, according to stunning U.N. documents examined by Fox News.

The main goal of the much-touted, Rio + 20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, scheduled to be held in Brazil from June 20-23, and which Obama Administration officials have supported, is to make dramatic and enormously expensive changes in the way that the world does nearly everything熔r, as one of the documents puts it, "a fundamental shift in the way we think and act."

Glad they are getting around to heavily taxing carbon. I look forward to seeing lots more renewables.

Warming hole' delayed climate change over eastern United States

Posted: 26 Apr 2012 12:51 PM PDT

Climate scientists have discovered that particulate pollution in the late 20th century created a "warming hole" over the eastern United States -- that is, a cold patch where the effects of global warming were temporarily obscured. The findings have implications for industrial nations (like China) that have not yet tightened air quality regulations.

And now for something completely different.

Traffic... commute/drive to work... I remember that (sort of) We lived 5 min from my university campus and 20 min from our lab. And then over time the work drive became 30 min and then slower and more hectic and then we moved onto our sailboat within 3 1/2 miles of our work (all surface no freeway) for 9 years and then bought a house even closer till we retired and moved to south central Oklahoma where traffic is danged light most of the time except rush hour in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, or Norman when there is an OU football game.

I have a friend who lives in New Jersey and he has a little "key fob remote looking thing" stuck up by his mirror. It has 3 buttons (I think), one for each of three sound effects, Photon torpedo, Phasor, and some other thing I don't recall (been 20 years). It gives an outlet for frustrations to "NUKE" offending drivers.

Population of the state of Oklahoma is less than the county of San Diego California. I can't control the planet's overpopulation but I can choose to live where it is less crowded. I'm guessing the population density around here is about 10 people per square mile.

My one man brainstorming session revealed that we should make the "warming hole" larger. But my brain storm intensity does not vary with climate change, unfortunately.:D

Terminator seeds only last one season, you can't gather seeds from the crops they produce and plant them in the future. Every year you have to buy 'new' seeds from Monsanto, saving seeds is over.
The other real problem is that as "terminator seeds" cross with conventional seeds they can't be saved for future planting either.
