Glock 43

Thanks James, I'll check them out. I reload FMC also, but have a lot of lead slugs I ran through my P228 and Beretta. I shoot lead in my 40 calibers, but have KKM barrels in them; don't know about the G43.

you can shoot lead out of a 43, or any 9mm glock. not a 40 though.

Rumours to the contrary - read your manual, ALL gun manuals say no handloads (liability of course) but it says NOTHING about lead. And i've put 1000 plus lead out of my 43, and half that so far out of my 19, a friend has put 10's of thousands through various glocks. never an issue.

Stopped at my local gun shop yesterday and ordered me a Sig P365 to add to my fleet of Glocks. Many, many months from now, if/when the snow finally melts, maybe I will be able to get to my pistol range.... :)

the snow melted here...not an issue.

MUD? yeah, well, that IS an issue. It's everywhere and even gravel lots are soft and muddy. and it's gonna rain tonight and tomorrow...

I just picked up a 3pt mower today figuring in 5 weeks we'll be mowing grass...but it's gotta dry out first or i'll rut up the yard so bad the Mrs will use the glock on me!

Have over two feet on the ground here, three in spots.... Weird winter. Came early, took a month off, then came back with a vengeance....

last winter it went from 50s to solid freeze in early december and stayed that way for months.

this year..weird. Biggest snow fall was last week - 4.1". then rain (like an inch) as it warmed up to nearly 60F. Freese and thaw is normal here - typical temps are 38 day and 22 night for most of the winter. Today is 47, tomorrow 54 then it drops back to normal ish, upper 30s. We see this roller coaster in march, not february.

We had maybe a week all told of solid cold days in a row..maybe 10 days, with 2 near 0 (coldest here in 25 years).

I just can't take any more damned rain! typical year is 40ish inches...last year we had 60. All time record. And with the wet comes humidity, rust, moldy hay if you can even get hay in.

I have several Springfield firearms and other than me having to do a little trigger work, they are fine firearms. There 1911's are high quality.

I competed with a customized Springfield Armory 1911 in .45acp for many years. It worked great, and still does. :)

We've had so much rain here in KY that I am sick of it. Cannot go out and do anything. I've gone on a diet so I've only gained four pounds sitting on my ***** the past two weeks. There are fields flooded that haven't flooded since the 1937 floods according to my mother.

Can't even get out to shoot my new 43.

Talked to a young lady a few years ago that had served as an expert witness on firearms in more than a dozen court cases. Among the tidbits of advice she gave me was to never do ANY type of modification work on my carry weapon. Said she had seen people who used a pistol in a legal self defense role get sued and loose because their weapon was modified. Said especially not to have any trigger work done on your carry firearm. That was a 100% guarantee that you will loose the civil suit even if law enforcement says you were justified. The lawyers will get people on the jury that know nothing about firearms and make it sound like you had the weapon modified so you could go out and murder people. Don't flame me for this, I am just relaying what the lady told me.

Beautiful piece!

Thanks! it is a very good and reliable shooter too!. It started life as a $300 simple old parkerized Springfield Armory 1911 for my wife back about 1992 or so. I swapped her my Sig 226 for it and sent it to a local gunsmith. Some dollars later this is how it came back. New barrel, guide rod, mag well, trigger, hammer, sear, springs, sights, grips (and screws)and beavertail , safety's left and right and hard chrome job, obviously slide and frame remained the same but fitted to the new parts. Of course back in those days you could not factory buy anything close. Now you can.
