glow plug indicator

I could not find a "key" to the wiring diagram in either my Operator's manual or WSM. Does anyone know what the "AV 0.5" or "AV 3" legends on the diagram indicate? Is that the normal voltage that should appear on that line (e.g .5 volts or 3 volts), the current (.5 A or 3A)? Or is it some indication of the wire guage?

bky, The ground symbol as drawn does make it appear that only the last one is grounded, but it really means they are all grounded, not just the last one. The ground occurs when the glow plugs are screwed in to the head. Each glow plug does not have a separate ground wire only separate power "cords" to link them together. Kubota manuals are not the best and sure leave alot to interpretation. Thanks for the input, ric

Tony;
I have to agree with you. It is pretty funny to be all wound up about glow plugs. Have you been around for the synthetic vs. dinosaur oil threads? Whew! You think someone shot their Momma. Gotta love it though, it is fun and stress relieving to micro-analyze our tractor hobby. It is a hobby right? This can't be real life.

<font color=blue> nice tractor, do that yourself? ric </font color=blue>

Actually, no. I got the picture from Microsoft's clip art site. I did import it into an animated gif program and draw in the puffs of exhaust. Partial credit?
