Glyphosate - related to bee decline

All that Roundup treats is the foliage; it does nothing to the roots and/or the seeds.

It kills the entire plant leaves and root, if the seeds are mature enough they can repopulate otherwise no.

Thank you for the correction.

so is just about every other chemical used on livestock, and other items we eat/drink.

One would think by the time it leeched into the ground to reach well water, it would be diluted too much to do anything.
I would be worried like everyone's septic system leeching into well water. Then again. I changed to the good old chemical free city water system,so I have no worries ! LOL

In the end, we all gonna die from something, years ago it was lead in paint and gasoline, then radiation, etc,.

One thing about it, Ain't none of getting out of here alive, that's for sure !

The classic, "we're all screwed anyway, so why bother?" argument. :)

I worked in the water/wastewater field for years.

I drink bottled water.

The voice of experience. Worth its weight in gold.

Have a deep artesian spring well situated at the top of the continent. One of the reasons I moved here.

My wife used to work with children born to vets who had been exposed to agent orange - Fort Devens area in Mass. The kids had diminished brains, and in some cases - just brain stems. Good old agent orange. Talk to vets who were exposed - the VA is even now starting to recognize it!

Ahhh, Agent Orange, another herbicide once claimed to be "not so bad." Now one of the 10 most toxic chemicals on earth. Look up "dioxin."

I was quoting a post about septic seepage and municipal water sources not glyphosate.

I have no reason to believe wells or city water is full of glyphosate.

Monsanto was recently gobbled up by Bayer, and that name no longer exists as a brand. You'll have to hate on a different name now.

Yes, you're right. It was the name "Monsanto" that spurred my irrational hatred. Something about that "Mon" and the ending in "o"; it just drove me crazy! I mean, they never actually DID anything wrong. They never paid off legislators so they could have their toxic chemicals approved by FDA, or paid for "research" that conveniently said their chemicals were safe. Nothing like that. It was just the "name." Now that the name is different, I'm totally confused..... I won't know who to hate! /s

Many alternatives if you're truly interested. Made a living at it once, but seems like no one here believes me..... :)

Made a living at it once ? Until they found something that works better lol

We are screwed anyway. Until you can regulate, and monitor what the rest of the world treats the food we consume, we are SOL anyway !

If runoff is going in your well, you have another problem...

Where do you think your groundwater comes from? Ultimately, from the surface. Depends on how deep the well is, and other factors, and there is a delay of time, and there is often some filtering on the way down, but yeah, you might not want a well dug near an old paint factory.
