Glyphosate - related to bee decline

I would worry more about all the run off cattle, chicken farms, hog farms, septic drain fields, etc, getting into my well water than roundup

The chemicals, and possibly the antibiotics used in farm animals, are way worse for you than any bacteria in the animal poop. However, the effects of the poop are devastating to watersheds in terms of killing all the native fishes, amphibians, and the other animals that depend on them.

Made a living at it once ? Until they found something that works better lol

Thanks, Kenmac. Actually, my back couldn't take it anymore. Even though I had a crew, I'm a hands-on person and couldn't resist getting in there. I always focused on "low maintenance" landscaping, as that was what all my clients seemed to want! Now for me it's a necessity. :)

Now I have a completely different equally successful business, that isn't so hard on my back.

We are screwed anyway. Until you can regulate, and monitor what the rest of the world treats the food we consume, we are SOL anyway !

As I"ve said previously; I don't buy food unless it's grown in the USA or Canada.

Agree. As lax as our regulations are here in the USA, it is much worse in certain other countries. (Canada and Europe are good.) Shoot, when DDT was banned, who do you think bought up all the stock from American companies???? There are literally NO REGULATIONS in some certain countries. They're probably using Agent Orange as an herbicide. I also don't buy seafood from Asia.

Be careful where you buy your food. Better yet, grow it yourself! Otherwise, wash your produce very carefully.

and the USA and possibly canada uses round up and GOM crops.
If you are reading about everything before you put it into your body. You will likely starve to death before round up has any effect

Back issues and bouncing around on a tractor ? Doesn't seem like that would be good therapy for back issues

Really, where do you think all those antibiotics, and chemicals that go into the animal end up ?
That's right,,,It ends up in the meat and their poop !
Those chemicals don't just disappear !

that poop ends up in well water, Just as you say Glyphosate does

There is no contradiction here.

Glyphosate is bad. There are other chemicals that are worse.

Our oversight/testing is lax; other country's are worse.

I do agree, our world is so polluted at this point, there is no possibility of avoiding toxic chemicals altogether. But if there are easy ways to lessen the exposure to the worst of them, why not?

At least we know what's allowed in on our food in this country. I'm not completely against responsible use of chemicals, as they have improved our lives in a lot of ways. I just don't believe they are a cure-all, and consider GMO's in general to be a major threat to our food chain.
>
I also believe that the more necessary something is, the less we are willing to pay for it; yet we should make our best effort to keep from trashing our air and water.

Many alternatives if you're truly interested. Made a living at it once, but seems like no one here believes me..... :)

Alternatives such as...? Remember I'm talking 15 miles of row crop; that sort of knocks out landscape fabric, mulch, cultivation, or hoeing. I don't enjoy pumping glyphosate into the environment; I'd like to think I'm a responsible user but as I said earlier the march against Monsanto crowd just wants it banned with zero suggestions about alternatives.
I am truly interested but refuse to hear some asinine formulations that include dishwashing liquid, salt (!!!), or similar .
