Nice!
maybe that is why I just can't bring myself to hate gm to many good times in the old muscle cars...and my 1996 Police- Caprice 9c1 is still rolling along just fine @ over 170,000 miles

Here are some of the old Ponchos i have owned some of my old muscle cars 001.jpg

Smart man if he owns a BMW instead of a GM.....

By the way, I just sold my BMW. Awesome car that never gave us a day of trouble. Proudly replaced it with a Ford.

Wife drives an X5 we bought used with a blown motor for no reason. Typical BMW. Overpriced, parts prices crazy expensive, no used computer parts allowed after 2006 (most modules $1,000 and up), over-engineered, holds little residual value (except the Ms). Nice driving, fits in the garage and she loves it.

I work on them for a living; it's a good living by the way. If it wasn't for European cars the world might be a better place.
I have had numerous GM rigs. Not a fan of their cars but like the trucks. Have had few issues with them.

I don't care what kind of car you drive they have issues. Every manufacturer out there tries to avoid paying out after the sale. Sometimes done by extending the warranty and not recalling. Volvo makes a good example of this when they had a 96% failure rate on electronic throttle modules (ETM) from 99-2001. Instead of recalling the whole bunch they opted to extend the warranty to 10 years/200,000 miles, well all of those cars that didn't get a new throttle are failing now at around $1,200 per repair. Tell that to a young family that thought a used Volvo was the way to go.

That one was a mess. When my sister bought a '99 S70 AWD (against my advice, I said to go for a 1998 FWD or a 2002+), I told her to budget $500 for a xemodex throttle body (Electronic Throttle Module Pre-Programmed Turbo for Volvo | xemodex United States) down the road. She is mechanical enough to be able to replace it herself.

Yes Xemodex good people, they sell a good product. Volvo would like to see them out of business. Now you can see why.

Sorry to hijack.

What, you dont like Volvo's plan of selling the exact same throttle body that will fail again on 50-100k miles vs upgrading the replacement part to work better?
What a strange concept, fixing known flaws...
There are reasons why I have a V90 and wont buy a newer FWD Volvo.

Me too... in 1999 Volvo AB sold their automobile division to Ford and the post '99 cars prove it...
My S70 (facelifted 850) is the last one designed by chief designer Jan Wilsgaard, who designed the 200, 700, 900 and 800 series. Ford replaced him with a British fashion fag who cared more about design...
