Going out or staying in tonight?

I forgot to mention that it looks like most of the TBN crowd is like myself, in bed by 9 PM most days. Even my neighbors 30 something daughter begged off before midnight claiming 9 pm is also her bed time.

I don't think I ever went out to a bar over once or twice celebrating NEW YEAR' EVE. I much prefer at home or at friends home close by to celebrate. In the last 30 years, it has been a strictly stay at home event (I don't consider walking across the road to be going out).

Staying in just like the last 20 or so New Years, a whole lot more fun than being around a bunch of obnoxious people.... I see midnight pretty much every night, I generally go to bed about 2 am, up about 3:30 to 4:30 am to feed the fire, then up again at 6 am to wake the kids/feed the fire and then back to bed until about 7:30 or 8.

We were making fun of ourselves for being the lamest family when it comes to new years eve parties! By 10 we were all asleep in the living room during the American Pickers marathon. The funny thing is, my son who is home from college feel asleep first and missed a poker night with his buddies. I teased him for being a lightweight, but glad we were all home safe and sound.

I think the last time I went out was 1969. Went out as a kid with a hot date and one of those all-inclusive price packages. People were loud, obnoxious and the price was steep for services rendered. Thankfully, I figured out that part of life pretty quick and wound up having decades of fun at home. Someone earlier said New Years Eve was for amateurs and they were right.
