Good 3point post hole digger for JD 3320 series?

Even if the tractor is slow at using one, im looking to get something with say a 24" auger on it. Does JD or Frontier sell anything attachment wise like this? Has anyone purchased one through their dealer as a package with the tractor, tiller, front end loader and all?

I got a Frontier/Rotomec 300 PHD with a 9" bit for my 3320. I did not order it with the tractor but got it about the same time. I also haven't used it yet. It does look like it's well made. The 300 has a reinforced boom and I think it supports up to a 50hp PTO. They have lighter and heavier duty models. You can check the specs on the JD website. There are large augers available for it. I look forward to using it this spring.

I just bought a rotomex 300PHD with a 9" auger. My JD dealer recommended it, so I bought it. Within an hour we were punching holes for gate posts - it rocks. I was using it on a JD 4720.

thats cool, isnt the 4720 like 48 pto hp or something? i was looking at the 3320 or 3120 but am gonna try to figure out how to manage the cost difference of a 3720 so i can get 44engine hp to power the 24" auger i plan to use.

24" is a very big auger. Most sold for farm use are between 9" - 18"

For a 24", you'll need a very heavy duty unit.

4720 is 58hp, but I do not remember the PTO hp.

24' is a monster auger. The gearbox on the one I got will support a 24", but I went with a 9". I think a 9" will cover everythign I need to do. If I was sinking trees, I would have a bigger auger for sure.
