Good battery cable ends?

Changing to lead-free terminals is a good idea for those who chew on them.

I use crimp on terminals. I have a hammer indent crimper and a hydraulic crimper. You can also get solder on terminals.

With decent terminals with separate bolt you can put as many lugs under the bolt as you want, and have the ability to disconnect and/or add connections when you want, without unbolting the terminal each time.

When you buy terminals to be crimped, ensure they are proper heavy wall CRIMP terminals, not solder terminals.

Wouldn't work on top post battery, but that's a good way to make eyes that I have never thought of.

The one end can be flattened, wrapped around the post, hole drilled and bolt used to tighten.

Or, tubing split, one side of split on each side of post, hole drilled, tails of split bolted.

You might try at a NAPA also. Macs in Canal Winchester made me a nice set of 2/0 cables for the Super C. The have the ends, not sure if they will crimp a new one on your cable, but I may find out today. I need a new end on a cable for the one A. May swing in there and check.

How do you attach them to the battery post?

We often used various types of those cable connectors in power transformer and Autovar switch rack assembly. Mainly stud or bolt attachment. Might work ok for side post battery connection but probably not large top post.

LD1 the solderable types don't interest you?

Obviously they are probably not reusable though.

The solder is part of the package.

Just heat and serve :D

I am fine with soldering. Those you linked are the same as ones I linked earlier on "I" supply the solder (for less money than they do)

I didnt realize there was so many different types out there. All I have ever seen (in service and in the stores) are the steel band types, and the led types. Lead crimp ones from OEM and the replacements that the auto stores carry. And those replacements arent really made for a 4/0 cable and never seem to last.

Just wondering what everyone else has had luck with.I think I'll order some of the copper solder on type. Seem like a nice piece
