I found someone selling a 97 Kubota L2350 with 250 hours. Kept indoors and comes with a Loader, 4wd, a 5 foot Field General mower, a 5 foot, and a 6 foot blade, a tandem axle trailer with brakes, all for.. Are you sitting down?? 12,000 dollars. Does this sound like a steal or is it just me? Need input fast, i am going to go see it tommorow. Sound like a nice buy to me, but you guys are the experts.

Hi Jeff,

Does sound like a deal of the decade, but.. what is the overall condition?; what type of work was done with it?; and why is the owner selling it? I guess I ought to ask also, is it stolen/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif?

Sounds almost too good to be true. Since it's only three years old, the owner ought to be able to produce some kind of purchase documentation.......hate to see you buy a hot tractor. Look it over real well, maybe even get a tractor mechanic to give it the once over. Nothing wrong with offering a deposit on the tractor until you can have it looked at. If it all checks out, and that tractor fits your needs, sounds great.

Fellas,

Even now and then around here one runs into an unbelieveable deal, and totally legitimate. I remember a deal I heard about a couple years ago, an older woman was selling a practically new JD (only 40 hours) for about $10,000 under it's value. She wasn't interested in "profit," since the tractor had belonged to her husband who had died a few months before. She just wanted to get rid of the machine, and also felt better about it if somebody would be made happy in getting a good deal. Real nice lady, and lucky buyer. The deals are out there, you just have to be persistent, and ready to whip out the wallet on the spot.

That's why I asked what the tractor was used for, and reason for selling. That may reveal the "steal" price. If these two factors make no sense, then look deeper. I like the "deposit" idea.

Sounds like a good deal. Before I bought my B2710 I was looking at a similar L2350 with loader and no implements for $11,500.

Jeff,
I know I would make a special trip to take a look.
See if its okay to take a spin and listen for noise and look for leaks once warm up.

Check out what kind of work it has done also.
Good luck.
