61 here also, weird...but I'll take it. I actually got some xmas lights up outside yesterday; nothing like we used to do, but then Nadene would put so many strings of lights out I always wondered when the circuit would pop, but I guess enough are LEDs now that the drain isn't so bad. I've got them on a dusk to dawn timer, and they are all still twinkling out there, in the rain. That's a minor miracle, usually the first rain pops the gfi...guess I should get some tape out and try to weatherproof the connectors.
Have to go back to the dermatologist today. She called me last night to forewarn me, one of my biopsies came back for melanoma. The big M..., luckily for me, a very little M, on my back, and next Tuesday, it will be history. One third the size of when they start to worry. But, here's the lesson... for four months I have been itching in one spot on my back, even had to buy a backscratcher it was driving me nuts. I was told it was phantom pain/itch from my neck operation. Wrong.
It was skin cancer, and the itching was my body telling me something was not right. So when you itch, don't just blow it off. Check it out...boy am I glad I did. A lifetime of being out in the sun is catching up with me, thanks to fair skin. By the time I hit seventy, if they keep chopping little bits off me, I'm going to be six inches tall...
Going to put the tree up tonight and crank up the Christmas carols.
